Education and training in Architecture has influenced the style and spirit of John Wilbar’s artwork.  For sculpture and furniture he designs and builds wood panel structural forms covered with fabric.  He then applies an acrylic medium to the form surface and finishes with airbrush spray for shade, shadow and special effects.  Finished artwork feature geometric abstractions with bold colors, deep shadows and a depth of field one can visually step into.  His work is reflective of the skies, landforms and industrial imprint found on the high plains of the Southwestern United States.
